This is a great coffee chop on the port. They do not really have food (just a few snacks) but the building is beautiful and it's a good starting place for a day of walking around Nice as it takes you to the edge of the port.

This is the best mall in Nice. You can take the Tram to the stop Jean Medecin - but the area outside the mall is also the best place for shopping in individual shops and there are a lot of restaurants in this area.

This is a frozen foods store - when I travel and want to cook a few quick easy meals at home, I love stores like this. You can pick up some prepared foods that are delicious - pop them in the oven, and have a meal without having the fuss of buying multiple ingredients at the grocery. It is a 10 minute walk from the house.

This is the train stop that is closest to our home. From here you can go almost anywhere the train goes along the Cote d'Azur. However, for some places you need to go to the Nice Ville station and transfer. There is a desk where you can buy tickets here, or you can use one of the machines (it takes credit cards with chip+pin and coins)

This is an Irish bar and restaurant (there is also one in Old Town) - it has a familiar western menu (burgers, fish and chips, etc) and a great bar. Sometimes there is live music - it's a cool, local, easy place to go for dinner, just 15-20 minutes walking from the apartment.
