This is where they filmed “Last of the Mohicans”. Lots of stuff for kids, scheduled programs by rangers. Also lots of cute places to shop and eat in Bat Cave. Go past the Rock for a pretty cool hike that ends up at the top of Hickory Nut Falls.

You will have a “Ahhhh” moment when you get to the top but also with Trombadore right across the street. Everyone does Bearwallow, no one does the trail across the street. And the end is a huge payoff.
