A solid choice for the whole family, this family-friendly restaurant is very conveniently located. It caters to a variety of tastes with patient service and a lengthy menu. Mozzarella di bufala and lamb sausage make appearances on select pies, some traditional some more creative. No need to give you the address, just get out of the house, go to your right and you’ll see it. Good place for cocktails and Italian espresso as well.

Musashi’s is a favorite for locals and U-Dub students. Meals are affordable and copious and the sushi are a more on the traditional Japanese style. Our personal favorite is the Chirashi bowl; a crowd pleaser. It is a short 4-minute walk up N 45th street and is rated 4.6 on Google maps. Address - 1400 N 45th St.

Featured on the food network, Pam’s Roti and curry are the stars of this restaurant, which turns out plate after plate of meat, potato and chickpeas that have been stewed in the Trinidad native’s special blend of curry spice, cumin and fiery habanero, ready to be mopped up with torn pieces of dhalpuri or paratha roti. The short menu also features Caribbean specialties like jerk chicken, pelau rice, and callaloo, a thick soup of greens and coconut milk. There’s a great lineup of non-alcoholic refreshments, including a creamy peanut punch and spicy ginger beer. Roti curry wraps and coconut bread sandwiches make for a satisfying lunch. 4.5 stars on Google maps Pam’s kitchen is located at 1715 N 45th St – a short 8-minute walk up N 45th St, opposite side of the QFC.

Breweries

Often considered the best brewery in Seattle and the best outdoor patio of any Seattle brewery. Kids and dogs welcome indoors and out. It’s a popular stop for cyclists riding the Burke-Gilman path (just across the street). Free pretzels and apples but no menu so bring take-out from Fremont’s large array of restaurants (most are 2 to 4 blocks away). Fill growlers, grab 6-packs to go, or buy top quality hats, t-shirts, and hoodies. Oh, and the beer is pretty good too. Only 6 minutes away by bus. Take line 62 to Fremont Downtown, stop at the 4th stop (N 35th St & Stone Way N), walk up N 35th St and take the first left onto Woodland Park Ave N. The brewery will be on your right, you cannot miss it.

The best place to start a first-time visit of Seattle. It is home to the Space Needle, the Chihuly glass museum, the Mopop, the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), the Climate Pledge arena (former Key arena, home of the Seattle Sonics in the 80s-90s), the best playground in Seattle, the best Fountain for kids to play with in Seattle, a super cool waddling pool, an ice-skating rink around Christmas, KEXP (local radio station) with a nice café. Over the summer, regular events and outdoor expos are organized there. You never run out of things to do there.
