Clothing Tips

If you are visiting Bir in winter then bring warm and woolen clothes with you as Upper Bir is colder than other areas because of the proximity to the Deodar forest and a stream nearby. And If you are visiting in Monsoon then bring high ankle Socks and shoes to protect from leeches. There are many slithering around here. Don't forget a jacket and A cap.

Maximum Monasteries have a tradition of prohibition on photography inside the monastery ( specially the flash ). It deteriorates the old wall paintings. So before clicking any pictures, kindly confirm with the monks around.
