We like to go for a walk at Kastellet, which is an old fortress and still an active military base. From there it's a short walk to the little mermaid. And in the opposite directing Amalienborg Castle, the home of the Royal family.

It's very nice to go for a wake by The Lakes in centrum Copenhagen. There are several cafés with outdoor dining along the lakes' western promenade, and in the summer you can rent rowboats and pedal boats on Peblinge Lake just south of the Queen Louise Bridge.
