Less than a mile away, the Des Moines Art Center is a great place to visit. Take a visit to the art center itself, or around the back to stroll through the winding trails of the historic rose garden. Further down the park is a beautiful pond with historic art throughout, a new playground and splash pad for the kids is located up the hill at Greenwood Park.

Beautiful place to take your bike, walk around, enjoy the water, or hang out on the beach. They rent out kayaks and other water toys. Soak in the views of downtown Des Moines in the distance while you are surrounded by nature.
