Chalet on the slopes, not easy to find, but which you should not miss. Basic, but great Italian food (pasta, polenta, etc). The balcony has an awsome view. Also open during the summer. Great stop during a mountain walk!

Although not far from the motorway this is a beautiful lake at 5 min drive from Oulx. The water is freezing, but in summer it is a great place for a picknick at one of BBQ points. The lake is also a good starting point for various walking trails.

Day in Torino: best to take the train!
Visiting Turin for just half a day or 1 day is perfectly possible from Oulx. The most convenient is to take to the train from the Oulx train station to Torino Porta Nuova station. You buy the tickets at the vending machine. Don’t forget to stamp them before boarding the train. It takes around 1.20h to reach Porta Nova. You can also take the car. This is faster (around 1h) but the toll tax is quite pricy and the traffic can be dense as you approach Torino.

It is always a good practise to reserve your table in the restaurant. In that way you are sure that there is a spot for you. Also, some restaurants are closed during certain periods. By calling up front you can avoid a loss of time during your holidays:-)

Closest ski lift: Jouvenceaux
The closest skilift from the Mansarda is Jouvenceaux. It is at 5min by car, or you can take the bus from the train station in Oulx. The car park is free of charge and at a 5min walking distance from the skilift. There are car charging station on the car park.

Travel from Turin Airport to Oulx
During the skiing season, there is a shuttle bus between the airport and Oulx: Cavourese Ski Transfer. See for the schedule the cavourese website. Seats must be booked in advance.
Throughout the year, the easiest public transport is by bus from the airport to Turin Porta Nuova train station and from there the train to Oulx. It is also possible to take the train from the airport to the Porta Susa train station, but then switch to tram or bus (or walk) to Porta Nuova train station from where the train to Oulx departs.
FInal alternative is to take a taxi to Oulx (around 1h drive).
