Rhino Market is about 5 minutes away and is a great little bodega that serves up some really quality sandwiches if you're on the run. Only 8 beers on tap, but usually a pretty unique selection. Good beer selection for close by, is pricier than some of the other bottle shops.

Dank chicken sandwiches...go for the hot thigh!!! The seasoning on the fries is on point as well. Call to order, the delivery sites charge an additional like 4 bucks a sandwich and you can pick up in like 10 minutes.

It might not look like much, but the best Indian food in Charlotte is just 5 minutes away!! They take it seriously on the spice though, I LOVE hot/spicy food and a 4 (out of 10) is like the sweet spot. My partner Steph is less heat tolerant, but still likes some spice and tops out at a 3.

The larb is authentic, the nam khao is phenomenal (I order it every time, fried sticky rice!!!) and they have sticky rice which one of only a few Thai/Lao places that have sticky rice and not just the mango dessert rice.

Our favorite pet store is just 12 minutes away. They are awesome people and have a great selection. They also have bathing facilities where you can wash yourself for cheap.

The neighborhood has been our favorite for a long time, but has just gotten even better with the addition of the Gold Line extension. Now you can ride all the way into Uptown and even into Plaza Midwood for just a couple bucks on a brand new streetcar!!
