City/town information

Tucked away in a corner of the Treasure Valley, nestled between the foothills and the Boise River, you’ll find the charming town of Eagle, Idaho. It’s a city notable for its high-end subdivisions, horse properties, spas, and scenery. The Boise River, with its expanse of towering trees and pedestrian paths known as the Greenbelt, runs through the heart of town. In addition to this, the quaint downtown area, variety of local events, and strong sense of community pride prove that Eagle is in a class by itself when it comes to character, recreation, and charm. The township was named “Eagle” by the daughter of a settler in the 1860s when gold was discovered in Eagle. She named it for the settlers due to the number of bald eagles found on Eagle Island.

Fantastic place to walk, hike, bike, take a SUP out on the river, or even do a ropes course in summer or visit the terrain park in the winter (called Gateway park). It's an Idaho State park so you will have a fee to enter.
