Exotica is exquisite cuisine, excellent service and romantic scenery. Save room for desert if you can. Small and intimate setting on the main road in Ojochal. Make reservations as it fills up fast!

If you want a super chill vibe with good food by the beach ~ this is the spot. A pool by the restaurant and a stunning private beach with view of Tres Hermanas down the jungle trail. The tuna steaks are fresh and cooked to perfection. Avoid the weekends, especially Sunday, unless you're in the mood for a scene. Pura Vida!

A lovely tropical cove with excellent swimming and caves to explore at low tide or watch the crashing water rush in at high tide. Family friendly with life guards, tent and chair rentals, pipa frias (cold coconuts), beer and fresh ceviche. A small creek at the south end for a fresh water dip. Catch the sunset here! Also decent shade towards north end against headland.

Also decent shade towards north end against headland.
Our favorite family friendly surfing and boogie board spot. Go between 2 hours before or after high tide for best conditions, because there are some rocks at low tide. Drive right up to your preferred spot and its a short walk to the sand to haul all your gear.

Epically beautiful waterfall swim hole. A short and pretty easy walk (sometimes slippery) down to this gorgeous gem. Lots of shade and some small rock areas to sit. Bring a picnic and go midweek for more serenity.

The waterfall adventure that has it all ~ cascading rock pools, larger pools for swimming, metal walkways along the gorge with places to jump into the cool water, and the epic waterslide of Uvita waterfall. Watch how the locals do it, maybe ask if you're unsure, but the slide is funnnn! Small cafes along the road charge a fee to cross their property down to the falls, or enjoy a smoothie / lunch to gain access.
