We love going to the sandy lake beach and enjoying a full day swimming in the designated swim area. There are on-site restrooms and plenty of fishing spots. We also love to pack a picnic and blanket to have lunch together

If you are up for a real southern adventure - just 20 miles from the lake house, the riding stables are a family favorite. The horses are very friendly & the staff are super sweet. Just make sure to call to check for age requirements & booking availability.

Only .5 of a mile from the lake house - Stop on in for breakfast and enjoy a warm cup of coffee and their variety of breakfast casseroles. My top favorite is their biscuit and gravy. For lunch, grab their famous hotdogs and take a look around at their unique and eclectic gifts that you can purchase. There is plenty of outdoor seating and great for the whole family.

We think this is the town's best southern comfort food. Our favorite is the fried catfish with hush puppies. Just 11 miles from the lake house, it's an easy drive for lunch or dinner.
