Plan a little extra time for Port Authority, as it can be tricky at times. It's a zone 2 ticket which you can purchase at the NJ transit ticket machine (discount if you buy 10 tickets). The ride usually takes less than 20 minutes. There are several buses going day and night, bus 154 drops you off really close to our home. 36th street and JFK Blvd. You can also take bus 127, or 159 (Do not take 159 Xpress) with a short walk.

From JFK to our home it takes about 1 hour 35 mins. Take the AirTrain to Jamaica. From there take the E train to Port Authority. We will provide you with a visitor parking permit. That allows you to park in a four block radius within Union City. Please be aware of street sweeping hours. Parking on Bergen Turnpike is only allowed on our side. The other side is no longer Union City. Regular parking rules still apply. (Don't park next to fire hydrant etc.)

In order to take the bus to the city walk to Bergenline Pizza and take either a small local bus or go to the post office and take the NJ Transit bus. Both take cash when going to the city and let you off at Port Authority. The ride is usually about 10 minutes. (There are several bus stops that are closer but this is the one with the most frequent busses.) On the way back take the local bus in front of Microsoft on 41st and 8th Ave. Tell the driver to let you off at Union City. They take cash.
