Everyone drives the mount, but did you know there is a great boardwalk at the top? There’s also a fenced kids playground and plenty of open space at the top of Wahluu. It’s a great place to see the whole of Bathurst from above (and get a selfie while you’re there).
There are often Police patrolling the track, looking for speedsters.

Inside, the wall are adorned with modern murals, there’s a pool table and plenty of places to sit.
No play equipment for kids, but there is grass, dogs and a stage the kids like to play on.

No play equipment for kids, but there is grass, dogs and a stage the kids like to play on.
The main bar has a great happy hour, the vibe is cool and busy and there are always great craft beers on tap.
The restaurant serves great gastropub food and also has a great atmosphere.
Try a George Burger, sit at a window and watch the world go past.

Best steak in the region (in my opinion). Matt Moran’s pub in Rockley is a lovely 25 minute drive away. All the food is good, as are the wines.

They’ll let you bring your dog (just let them know on arrival so they can put theirs away). Traditional pub fare and normal beers.
It’s a bit blokey after work but the genders even out as the night goes on and they will welcome newcomers with warm open arms.

We often walk to pubs and restaurants as it’s an easy level walk. Alternately, catch an Uber or book a taxi through Bathurst Taxis on 6325 0022.

Throughout Winter, and even late Autumn and early Spring mornings Bathurst can be quite cold. Bring you parka, jacket, scarf and boots. In the middle of Winter, think about bringing a beanie. It’s rarely humid here so it feels colder than the coast.
