To get there by car is around 5 hours drive east then south.
But there is another way. There is a special boat leaving from Fort Myers. Though it only gives you 3 or 4 hours to play down there, you leave in the morning, arrive mid day, play all afternoon, then leave around dinner time. We have done this and was a great way to take in Key West without the added expense of a hotel down there.

For those into the more seedy side of life, this is pretty much the only local video arcade service and adult products. The seedy part is the adult video booths have a 'special' feature.

A very interesting building with the African American history from this region and the amazing people who contributed to the area. For any black guests, this is a great visit, Small building so you will only spend an hour. Very low entry cost. Appointments necessary.

Very famous place. If you are looking to bring back home some sea shells, this is the place to go for some wonderful pieces at good prices. They also have a small military museum. And an Ice Cream shop

For me as a photographer, this is a super cool place. Is 3500 acre wildlife preserve with a 1.2 mile elevated boardwalk platform all the way around. I have gotten amazing photos here of Aligators, Numerous bird species, many interesting indigenous plants. A great time. Is close to the house. Only a parking fee. Will take you a couple hours to walk the platform (assuming you stop to look at things)
Parking fee is $1 per hour per vehicle, maximum $5 for the day.
