If you have never been to Tulsa Oklahoma, you are in both a treat and surprise. Located in rolling hills with a tree forest, Tulsa is the "biggest little city" you will ever visit. It has the largest collection of art deco buildings and Tulsa's skyline is both beautiful and unique.
Tulsa was for many years known as the "Oil Capital of the World" and attracted such people as J. Paul Getty, William Skelly, Waite Phillips and other oil barons who brought with them world class architecture and culture.
It is the home to The University of Tulsa, Oral Roberts University, Philbrook Museum, Gilcrease Museum (currently closed for two years while the new museum is built). It also is home to Southern Hills Country Club, which has hosted 7 of golf's major tournaments. It is also home to the BOK Center, which has been rated one of the top entertainment venues in the world in both appearance and ticket revenues from concerts and events.
It I were to compare Tulsa to any city, it would be Austin Texas, given its topography and natural beauty. Only Tulsa doesn't have the traffic, with everything being within a 15 minute drive to most places.
