The Hoe is a glorious coastal area where you can fully appreciate the sea views. Sit on the grass and watch the world pass by, watch naval ships enter Plymouth Sound, go for a bite to eat and drink at The Terrace cafe bar. And brave the waters by going for a swim in the glorious Tinside Lido or for free in the sea! It'sa fantastic place to visit with plenty of historic events to learn about too, from World Wars, to Francis Drake, and The Beatles.

Be transported back 400 years and explore the narrow cobbled streets of the Barbican. Walk along the harbour and pick up some excellent fish and chips and ice cream from the variety of outlets.

The main auditorium seats 1300 people and gets West End musicals and dramas, dance etc and their smaller venue often hosts Edinburgh Fringe and touring company work. You'll also spot their impressive sculpture out the front.

Looe is a beautiful place to visit, especially in the Summer. It's coasts and beaches are wonderful. From Plymouth you can get the train all the way to Penzance. Or a bus will take into North Cornwall easily too. Head to the coast and enjoy the dramatic cliffs and sandy beaches. Go for some fish and chips, ice cream, pasty and tasty cider too.
