The English Garden is one of the largest city parks in the world. The southern part is smaller but a bit more lively, due to it’s proximity to the city center. The northern part with quieter and more popular with locals. A walk (in the southern part) from the Eisbach wave up to the lake and back passes by the Chinese Tower and takes about 1-1,5 hours.

Situated on the west of Munich, this palace and its garden are a great way to spend an afternoon more quietly. If you have to get there by public transport, your best option is the Tram to Romanplatz.
