If you like flowers or you just want to laugh at a bunch of cockney blokes trying to sell them, get down to Columbia Road on a Sunday where the flower market will be in full swing.

I can’t praise this park enough, it recently had a £12m revamp in 2012 and has a boating lake, skateboard park, cafes, pubs etc. It’s a really beautiful park. Good for walks, jogs or bike rides.

Broadway Market is nice all week but Saturdays from 12pm is when all of the stalls are set up and serve good food, cakes and all sorts! It’s a really great atmosphere, often with live music.

Brick Lane offers lots of vintage clothing, furniture etc and the market on Sundays is always buzzing and full of artistic items, music and food. It’s worth seeing if you have the time.

Located in between the two sides of the park, sits the village. It has a few local shops e.g. butchers, bakery, takeaways etc and has a really nice village feel.I recommend pizza in The Lauriston.

If you are on Brick Lane and you fancy a curry, come away from Brick Lane, walk a bit down the road and this place does really good food! Better than anywhere on the lane itself in my opinion.

I love Bistrotechque (E2 9DR), which is literally one minute away from the flat, though it’s kind of hidden which is partly why I really like it so much! So if you can find it, enjoy!!!!
