This is a really cool place to ride an old steam train, learn about the history of trains in Jamestown and see a bunch of old rail cars. They have a cute little gift shop as well.

This is a very easy hike with a rewarding end. It gets very busy during the summer and you have to pay for parking. There is a cave bridge that is a really interesting natural occurrence.

A fun place to explore a local cave. There’s a really neat old spiral staircase that leads you down. They also have ziplining and gemstone mining.

A pretty spot up the hill a little ways for those hotter days. It has a nice sandy beach and some relaxing hikes you can do. There is a small store and boat/kayak rentals.

42421 CA-108This is a beautiful spot at the top of the 108 pass. We often go here in hot weather to escape some of the heat. There are hiking trails, a store, camping, horseback riding, and a restaurant. It’s one of those places that you think only exists in movies.
Movies under the stars! What could be better than that!? In the summer they play movies most nights in their outdoor amphitheater! It’s is such a fun experience
