Very cool venue/record store. Small bar, local crowd, AMAZING music. Owners used to work for Sony and bring in national acts on a regular basis, despite the small 150 capacity space. Often times the record store (Grimeys) has free shows at 6pm and sometimes they give away free beer. Grimeys is also one of the best record stores in the country — very cool vibe.

Best rock-a-billy music in town. The floor is always shaking from boot stompin' and honky tonkin'. I love to watch people dance. It's right next door to the Blue Grass Inn which is another favorite.

It's really close to our house, has a great frisbee golf course. It's also a scenic hike. The shell gas station next to the park sells professional disks - $5 to $10 a disk.

Calypso has been voted the best cafe in Nashville for many years. It's fast, reasonably priced and the Caribbean food is amazing. All the sides are delicious and the curry sauce is to die for.

We eat here religiously. Delicious Egyptian food, gyros, lamb, felafel, tabouli, walking distance, fast, friendly, generous portions, backgammon, hookah and they give our kids free peanut m&ms.

One of our favorite places to hike. There's a paved path for jogging and a dirt path for walking. Steep hills make for great exercise. Lot's of dear, some eagle nests, blue-herons, etc.

This is our favorite hike in Nashville due to all the geological formations, scenic views, natural staircase leading down to one lake, dance floor at the top built ages ago, two "hidden" lakes and the blue-bird trail with lots of bluebird houses to attract them. The ridge is a little narrow and scary at one point because it drops off on both sides. It's safe, but gives the kids the willies. Tons of photo-opps and fun times.

7851 McCrory LnThis is our favorite hike in Nashville due to all the geological formations, scenic views, natural staircase leading down to one lake, dance floor at the top built ages ago, two "hidden" lakes and the blue-bird trail with lots of bluebird houses to attract them. The ridge is a little narrow and scary at one point because it drops off on both sides. It's safe, but gives the kids the willies. Tons of photo-opps and fun times.
