Walk up the road towards Mount Ainslie and see kangaroos at sunset, wildflowers, or walk to Australian War Memorial along the track on the right.

A great place to research those involved in war and peace missions as part of your family history and see displays and attend the last post. (9 min drive or pleasant walk). The artworks by war artists is probably the best part!

So much to see here for the art enthusiast and tentative gallery goer. Coffee available at outside cafe and indoor cafe as well. The fabulous sculpture garden has toilets. Don’t miss ‘Within Without’, a large sculptural work by US artist, James Turrell. Enter the work near the main entrance.
Check out the important Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander works as well.
