Big beach with nice concrete landscaped areas you can hangout and still see the water if you don't want or can't walk on the sand. March through November it's $5 for 4 hours or $10 per day to park. The Hangout Restaurant and entertainment venue is next-door. Pink Pony is also nearby for drinks.

$3 -$10 for a car/truck. It's less crowded than some of the other beaches because up until recently it was the only one with a fee to park. But, now that every beach has a fee of some sort to park they are probably all about the same. This particular one has great places to hangout under cover, lots of picnic tables and good bathrooms.

Nice beach in Orange Beach. $3 for 2 hours, $5 for 4 hours, $10 all day to park. Has a couple of picnic tables and decent bathrooms. I feel like this parking lot is a little easier to navigate than Gulf Shores and it's not quite as crowded. But, Gulf Shores has a nicer concrete walking path where you can view the water from further away if sand isn't your thing.

7 paved hiking trails spead out over 15 miles through Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and the Gulf State Park. There's an Eagle's nest, Woodside restaurant (I like the breakfast), and free bikes to help you explore the area. Lots of entry points. The one nearest Woodside restaurant is where you'll find the Eagle's nest.

It's 4 miles from the house and free to walk around outside the park. Outside the park are lots of stores and several restaurants. I like Hershey's, Lucy's and Paula Dean's. Tropic Falls is also here and who doesn't like a Waterpark? $63 for a combo ticket. They do not sell tickets to just the Waterpark alone. They make you combo it with the Amusement park unless it's raining and the Amusement park shuts down. Then, they will occasionally sell just the single ticket to the Waterpark alone.

Food Scene

Families with kids really enjoy the Hangout. It's where Hwy 59 meets the sand and the Gulf. There's food, games, music, dancing, places for group photos. Tons of entertainment to keep them occupied and happy.

Waterfront. I LOVE Cobalt but, they don't take reservations and that wait can be up to 2.5 hours in the Summer. The food is delicious. The view is gorgeous. Expansive patio overlooking Robinson Island, Bird Island etc. I go for the Tuna and avocado stack for an appetizer and fresh catch or steak for the main course. If you can find a bar seat, take it. You can eat at the bar or have a cocktail or two while you wait for your table. The same family owns Buzzcat's, Cosmo's, GT's (has a place for kids to play outside) and Luna's (also a favorite of mine). All named after thier pet's and, all are good.

Tourist's like this place. People start lining up outside at 1030 am to get a table. It's ALOT of food for the money. I've been myself about 5 times. Basic meat and 3 with pass around extra sides that waiters just put on the table. They also throw rolls at you. Bring your appetite.

Beach Bar. 6.5 miles from the house. There's lots of water everywhere down here and if you look at a map this place is across the water from Orange Beach. Super local. Good place to get a burger and a Bushwacker. Boats pull up to this place but you can get there by car as well. Pets are allowed so expect to see some dogs running around enjoying the music and water.

Great place to shop, eat and walk around. Located on the canal. Lots of yachts dock here. There are typically bands playing in the evening. I like Ginny Lane Bar & Grill and Villagio Restaurant. Red or White for Wine, Island Time Daiquiris & Pizza, and Pour Smart Bar. They occasionally have fireworks shows in the Summer and The Amphitheater is here. Big concerts, fantastic venue.

They have 2 locations. This one is close to the house. Wolf Bay has been around for 30 years. Most people go for the seafood and salad bar. I really like the filet and sweet potato fries.
