Bar San Juan is an authentic Spanish tapas restaurant in the centre of Chorlton and is a firm favourite with the locals.
This place is busy around the clock so try and book in advance (since Covid they have a pre-booking system) or be prepared to wait if you walk in. Having said that it’s just as nice to sit, have a drink and soak up the busy atmosphere while you wait for a table. Everything on the menu is delicious and the prices are very reasonable.

I love the pizza atDouble Zero! The home of independent, authentic, handmade Neapolitan pizza in Chorlton.

The Lowry is a not for profit organisation and arts centre which offers a diverse programme of theatre, opera, musicals, dance, music, comedy and visual art as well as events and activities to expand the horizons of audiences and artists alike.
At the heart of their work is a commitment to our local communities and young people. 
It’s within walking distance of the house but I would recommend driving or jumping in a cab as it’s not the most scenic route!
Check out their programme to see what wonderful performances are on or simply head down and spend some time wandering through the galleries. There is a permanent LS Lowry exhibition plus many others.
