Popular lake that's surrounded by beaches and places to swim. Many nudists here in summer so maybe not for the prudish!

A former coal mine that's now been reclaimed as a lake and nature reserve. Quieter than Cossi, and also great for cycling.

Good place (but one of many) to hire kayaks starting from 6euro/hr for a single. On a sunny weekend day its worth reserving one in advance. Kayaking is especially good for beginners in Leipzig because there isn't really any big boats on the water. Also beach volleyball and a beach bar nearby.
