Food Scene

Great locals hangout, reasonably priced food and the closest restaurant (about 5 mins) from the tiny home. They occasionally close for the offseason and typically the kitchen closes on Monday and Tuesday (aka only open for drinks), so doesn't hurt to call in and check their hours.

Excellent Breakfast! 15-20mins west from the tiny home in the town of Minturn. There is typically a wait on weekends so be prepared. Again, they close during the offseason, so keep that in mind.

Entertainment & Activities

Great nordic skiing and snowshoeing available 10 minutes away. Also has fat bikes for biking on the snow. If we don't have fresh snow for downhill skiing or snowmobiling, this is a fun way to adventure in winter.

Though pricey, you are getting a lot for your money. The mountain is huge with plenty of awesome expert terrain and fast moving lifts. There is also a cool little resort called Adventure Ridge at the top with tubing, skating, ski biking, etc., if you want to play on the mountain but skiing isn't your thing. During the summer, you can rent bikes to bike down, or take the mountain "coaster" among other summer activities. Every Thursday in July the gondola is free after 5PM for twilight gondola rides and discounts at the restaurant on top as of summer 2018.

This is the ski mountain to go to if you are a beginner or average skier on a budget. Combine this with the ski rentals here, you are paying about 25% per day of skiing than any of the larger more well known resorts. Smaller mountain with slower lifts, but this is really all most skiers visiting the area need, and you can save the money for a fancy dinner in Vail! Views atop Ski Cooper are breathtaking.

Snowmobiling, ATVs, side by side rentals, snow cat tours, paintball, archery, etc., all less than two miles from the tiny home! Heck, you can walk there if you want via the railroad tracks behind the house! Activities vary by season. If you don't have your outdoor toys with you, this is the place to go. A popular wedding destination, you can also grab lunch here in the summer.
