Walkers can observe native birds, butterflies, fish in the water and native flowers whilst walking on a sealed path through the bush. there are little waterfalls and swimming holes along the way with the big waterfall at the end of the pathway. Good place to cool down in summer.

TRANSLink operates a bus stop on the corner of Old Smithfield Road and Cassowary Street Freshwater. Timetable arrival and departure times can be accessed from the TRANSLink web site.
If coming from the airport or Cairns get off at the Simon Street stop. If coming from a northerly direction get off at the Cassowary Street stop. Give me a call and I will pick you up if I am home.

Sightseeing
Take a trip on the train from Freshwater to Kuranda. It is not cheap, but it is spectacular.
On the return journey, travel by Skyrail to Caravonica and make sure you get off at each stop on the way down to enjoy the experience.

Kamerunga Road at Freshwater Railway Station
Take a trip on the train from Freshwater to Kuranda. It is not cheap, but it is spectacular.
