The Boatel is a local favorite in the summer. You don't need to dress up to grab a drink here but bring your shades even at midnight because you will need it on the back deck. Concerts every weekend and lawn games.
It is only a short 5 minute walk from the house. Sometimes you can even enjoy the music from the back deck out my house.

Great beer and beer garden with fire pits in the winter. There are often food trucks also. Be sure to get there before 8pm, all breweries in Alaska have to close before then.

About 1.5 hr drive from Fairbanks is a natural hot springs resort. I love to go in the winter but summer is fun too. The drive is scenic in the summer (look for moose) the road can be tough in the winter so only go in good driving conditions. Check out the ice museum tour and get an appletini in a ice martini glass.

Rent a canoe or kayak and paddle down the Chena River. Start at Pioneer Park and end at the boatel, pikes or pump house and have a drink. The boatel is walking distance to the house but that’s only a short paddle (30 minutes). pikes is about an hour and pump house is a 1.5 hr paddle.

Aurora viewing lodge not too far out of town. You can chill in the lodge and wait for the lights. When they come out they have a photographer that can take your photos.

Take a tour down Chena River in an old stern wheel. Family owned and operated by a local family, it’s worth every penny. I don’t typically like touristy things but I think this is done very tastefully.
