Drinks & Nightlife

Soundpony has a cult following in Tulsa among people of many ages and walks of life. The bar was an early adopter of the downtown area known as the Brady Arts District**, which has undergone a major revitalization in the past decade. Soundpony is also Tulsa's bicycle bar and the sponsor of several athletic clubs. Pony can be a low-key spot for a beer and a colorful patio, a packed late-night punk or hip-hop venue, or a focused but lively enivronment for Tuesday night Trivia (starts at 9:30). In the past few years, Soundpony co-owner Mike Wozniak leveraged his energy and influence as a downtown business owner to found Bike Club, a fast-growing and widely supported program to get kids in Tulsa Public Schools on bikes. Bike Club has become an integral part of Soundpony culture and reflects the bar's community-focused ethic. Soundpony has also been a part of the wildly popular Tulsa Tough criterium races (every June-- come back for them) for over a decade. The Soundpony crew was the original group of partiers/hecklers to gather at what eventually became the internationally known (really) Tulsa Tough spectator party known as Crybaby Hill. **The Brady Arts District is named after a Klansman--- Yes, we have issues here in Tulsa. We will be happy to tell you all about them if you're curious, and to point you toward resources to learn more about our past, our struggles and where we are headed as a city.

Arts & Culture

Guthrie Green is a beautiful green space in the heart of downtown Tulsa's Brady Arts District*, at the center of every First Friday Art Crawl (6-9pm first Friday of every month). Get food at Lucky's on the green, sit on the stairs, catch a movie or live music on the lawn or just walk around and enjoy the plant life and water features. Guthrie Green sits on a geothermal field that services the surrounding buildings. *see Soundpony description for information on this troubling district name
