The building where once the first electric trams in Amsterdam were serviced has been granted a new life. In the former tram depot, an official monument built between 1902 and 1928, you now find De Hallen Amsterdam. Right in the middle of the 19th century district Amsterdam West.
There is an indoor foodmarket and a cinema and much more!

Favourite hang out in the weekends. Take the free ferry to NDSM (which is already a nice trip) and lay down on a bed on the city beach. Live music on sundays.

Great underground (dance) parties in an old school building. Best dj's. The restaurant is also very good! Good food and the atmosphere is nice. On warm days you can sit outside in the garden.
