Limones was first out-of-the gate to turn our town into a food destination spot. Hugo Ramirez knows food...consistent and beautifully presented. Solid. Although we try most every restaurant in town...we always return to Limones. Wonderful brunch here...best to have reservations, especially on the weekend.

Oh. My. God. Donuts made in-house right in front of you, great coffee, sweet people. The toasted almond sesame donut is a few bites of heaven; seasonal donuts each week. Life is delicious!

Beautiful bread, baked items. Lunch as well with fresh, local produce, etc. Very friendly...handsome and elegant space. Don't be in a hurry...relax and enjoy. I believe they are still just doing curbside, but if the timing works out, grabbing some of their baked goods to bring home, would be a treat.

Great falafel here and everything else...very local. Not if you're in a hurry...bring your dog and relax outside and enjoy being on historic Montford Avenue. It has been renovated in a great way now, and is called All Day Darling, but still the great, fresh food and very friendly service.

It has been renovated in a great way now, and is called All Day Darling, but still the great, fresh food and very friendly service.

I am reminded to add this wonderful gem, because I just had an amazing bowl of noodle soup chock-full of delicious vegetables, all swimming in a flavorful, simple broth for $7! Service was friendly and fast...I was there right at lunch time and had no problem being seated quickly...

This very chill and friendly brewery is off the beaten path and a welcome respite from the crowded downtown brewery scene. Fried chicken sandwiches and also their Reuben sandwich were wonderful!

Great place for vegan food...I love it though I'm not vegan, but appreciate how fresh and beautiful the food and juices are! It's called Pulp & Sprout now.

One of our favorite spots to see music...bands and performers that can fill a larger space love to play here. Very local, very down-to-earth. Enjoy the tacos from the taqueria at the end of the nice long wooden bar, grab a beer and relax. I was there last night and had the best nachos...not too gooey with cheese...good chicken and house-made tortilla chips...very clean and good with lots of flavor...so far, the best nachos I've had in town (after 15 years!)...a happy surprise hiding inside of the Grey Eagle.

One of my favorite spots...the River Trail is a few minutes away from Little Sun Bird. Peaceful and local. Goes along Swannanoa River...you and your pup can dip in if you like. To get to the trailhead, from Sun Bird Lane, turn right onto Riceville Road, follow the road keeping to the right...it will curve around and you will come upon the big meadow with the white barn...turn right onto Warren Wilson Road, there is a small parking area immediately to the right...the trailhead is just to the left in front of the parked cars.
