Haley House Cafe on Saturdays at 5:30pm has a 3 course organic, freshly cooked dinner for $10. It's called Community Tables. You sit family style as your dinner is served. You meet the world, your world family from Africa to Afghanistan and everybody and everyplace in between. You make new friends
They also have a killer Sunday brunch. Give yourself time. On Sundays it can get crowded. They have live Jazz, open Mic nights, poetry and book reading, I can go on and on. Haley House is one of my favorite places in Boston.

Lovely Ethiopian art and artifacts surround as you enter. Lucy's "Peanut Tea" is pure ecstasy in liquid form. It is addictive. You have to visit when they have their Ethiopian Coffee ceremony. You pick your coffee beans, they grind the coffee beans in front of you and then brew your "fresh" coffee before your eyes. You have never tasted coffee like this. All the while the Lucy's staff is in traditional Ethiopian dress while authentic Ethiopian music plays throughout the Ceremony. Travel the world sipping your fresh coffee!

You are in luck. Sparrow Park named after a former Durham Street resident, Tennis Pro Titus Sparrow, is right down the street. In the Spring and Summer there are free summer concerts. You are so close you can hear the concert from the front door but walk 300 feet and you are in the midst of the live action. Join in the dancing, watch the boys play basketball and watch the tennis match it's all there for you.
