This is a traditional meze tavern about 10 minutes walk from the villa. George and his sons, Ben and Damian, run this family business. George produces most of the vegetables and meat organically on his farm. He also serves wild foraged foods. Everything is prepared according to Cypriot family recipes. If you want an authentic experience without extra tourist 'fluf' this is the place to go.

Sightseeing
While it was first thought that these very impressive underground tombs were the tombs of kings, it later became apparent that high officials were buried here but the name has stayed. The tombs are spread across a large park-like area with lovely views over the sea. The tombs date back to the 4th century BC and are carved out of solid rock. Some are decorated with Doric pillars. This is a good place to visit late afternoon in summer when it is cooler and the lighting is good for photographs. In spring the area is covered in wild flowers and the sunsets over the sea are spectacular.

The marvellous mosaic floors of four Roman villas from the impressive epicentre of the finds. To get the best from your holiday and see the wonderful places that make Cyprus so special we recommend that you rent a car. You can visit some places by bus but you will really be limiting yourself.
