Our cozy guest cottage has easy beachfront/kayak/canoe access (if you bring your own) and is located very close (within walking distance at low tide) to the public boat launch for larger boats. Great location to explore Deer Isle, Acadia (approx 1hr), Castine (45m), and the Bangor (1hr) area. Brave children and adults even swim from the beach but comfortable swimming ponds/lakes are 10m in several directions. The hot-tub is open year-round! Salt Pond Farmhouse

Salt Pond Farmhouse is a charmingly preserved 1813 three-bedroom cape, on the Blue Hill Peninsula, about half way between Blue Hill and Deer Isle, and an hour or so from beautiful Acadia National Park. The house overlooks scenic Salt Pond, and there is a path to the pond side, where small boats may be launched from the grassy shore when the tide is in. The Blue Hill Peninsula offers many activities, including sightseeing, art galleries, water sports, hiking, biking, birding, dining, and more.
