The sleeping area, situated upstairs and accessible via a bit narrow, winding stairs, features three comfortable beds separated by curtains for added privacy. Surrounded by peaceful nature on the countryside of East Iceland these spacious and cozy cottages offer, for example, view over the Lagarfljot River and Dyrfjöll mountain. Around the place is a great wild-bird life over the summertime and here you can take a walk in the nature and enjoy some alone-time. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished terrace with BBQ. Egilsstadir town center is just 30 km away.

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

Our Honeymoon cottage is the perfect place for those who seek a genuine Icelandic experience with a private hot tub overlooking the fiord. The cabin is just a couple of minute drive from Seydisfyordur. You might even spot some whales while having a bbq. Don’t miss to hike and visit Vestdalur waterfalls that is a short walk from the cabin. The cabin is provided with dvds, books and vintage video games.

The Cozy Corner – A Peaceful Home in Egilsstaðir

Welcome to The Cozy Corner – a peaceful little home in Egilsstaðir. Tucked away in a quiet area at the edge of town, this apartment is the perfect resting place during your East Iceland adventures. This is my full-time home, and there are some cupboards reserved for my personal things, but rest assured, there is plenty of space left for your belongings.

In Fljótsdal next to the farm Hóll in Norðurdalur is Hólshýsi. A cosy cottage that is surrounded by endless adventures and sounds of nature and wildlife. Close to countless highlights such as Hengifoss, Hallormstaður, the Wilderness Center and Laugarfell.

Newly renovated building set in the fjord of Seyðisfjörður, 7 km away from the town centre. The house was a school in the older days but has now been given a modern design with beautiful views and the feeling of being away from everything.
