Samish Island Cottage Getaway

Peaceful home on scenic and quiet Samish Island (no ferry required!) Creative artist vibes with a piano, eclectic decor, overflowing bookshelves, and a warm, cozy feel make this a creative escape from everyday life. A well-appointed kitchen, office with desk and reading chair, and green, private outdoor spaces ensure you have all you need to relax and take in nature. Perfect jump-off spot to island adventures, whale watching, or birding on the Samish flats. Well-behaved dogs and cats welcome.

The Loft at Thunder Creek

Bird lovers come and enjoy Eagles and Kingfishers hunting along the creek. Relax and rejuvenate in the spacious 600 square foot loft above a garage. There are 16 stairs to climb to get there. You will also enjoy the 200 square foot attached deck. There is one full sized bed and a roll away twin size bed. There is a small European shower, it measures 32"x 32". You will travel a mile on an unpaved, country road to get here, in the winter months a 4wheel drive vehicle or chains would be wise.

Lil' House - No Clean Fee, Comfy Bed, Local Tips!

Little House is a private one-story home, set back from the street, with off-street parking room for large vehicles (Truck-Trailer or camper van) or four cars. There is also a small grass yard. Inside a well-equipped kitchen, washer-dryer combo, microwave and out door furniture are available for use. Pets and children are welcome. Little House is under a mile to downtown Mount Vernon and guests regularly walk there for dining, breweries and entertainment. Custom reccomendations are free!

Armstrong's Bird Nest

Our waterfront apartment has majestic views of Alice Bay. Our private beach is a dynamic tidal flat with the water moving in & out twice daily - always changing. It is central to excellent Skagit Valley birding, scenery, tulips and out door adventure. Private cove for nature lovers; close to hip, historic Edison, restaurants, art galleries; central to Bellingham & Anacortes (30 min), Seattle & Vancouver, BC (90 min each), beautiful walks from your front door. You'll want to come back!

North Cascades Hideaway

Relaxing getaway just off the North Cascades highway and close to outdoor adventure. Fenced backyard with fire pit, front and back decks. Dogs welcome! Once off the 5-7 min ferry ride from Anacortes, in just a couple minutes more you will arrive to our whimsical cottage on the west beach of Guemes Island with its panoramic views & magical sunsets …the perfect place where you can relax in the peacefulness, walk the beaches, find treasures, hike Guemes mountain, explore your favorite water sports, and view our local wildlife of herons, seals, bald eagles, & often orcas. Kids & pets welcome…available mooring buoy:)

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. We are in the heart of Skagit Valley. Our quaint downtown is a quick 10 minute walk. Less than 20 minutes away by auto you can visit Edison, La Conner, and the Salish sea. Many shops, trails, events and foodie fare are in our Guest Guide please have a look as we were thinking of you when we complied all our favorites places. We are happy to share our patio and garden with our guests.

Built into a turn-of-the-century schoolhouse and located behind Smith & Vallee Gallery in the heart of Edison, WA. Large waterfront yard, decks with expansive views of the Edison slough and the San Juan Islands, large covered porch, family and dog friendly accommodations. Included is a garden cottage, steps away from the Schoolhouse, with a desk and strong wifi for a quiet workspace or writing retreat. An oasis tucked in to the bustling village of Edison.

Sauk Valley homestead in the North Cascades

This is a great spot to decompress from society and heal. The cabin is centrally located on some acreage with me on-site off State route 20. There's hiking destinations in every direction! I'm happy to be a sort of tour guide and provide info on special places to see and where to eat and drink if you'd like.
