Guest room in a private home

My home is located in a small town on a dirt road and very private. The rt 1 coast/ocean is about 25 minutes away and offers lighthouses, lobster and Maine hospitality. This guest room has a full size bed that is stacked with pillows and an antique quilt, dresser and closet space. The bathroom boasts of a shower as well as a claw foot bathtub should you wish to lay back and relax. There is a television, and an air conditioner in the warmer months as well as a ceiling fan as an alternative.

We offer a 1st floor guest room & private bath inside our home near the Salisbury Cove area of Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor Lobster Pound, Mainely Meat BBQ, Utter Heaven Ice Cream & also Mini Golf is within walking distance. The Acadia NP Visitor Center, the start of the Park Loop Rd and downtown Bar Harbor are within 2 to 5 miles. Drive into Acadia or to the shops, restaurants & excursions of Bar Harbor or from late June to mid Oct, catch the free Island Explorer shuttle from the end of our road.

This is 8 years being ARBNB hosts in our home. Guests, one party up to 6, share the second floor that is private, simple and elegant with 3 bedrooms & 1 bathroom. Also private parking & own porch entry that is furnished with bamboo shades, table,couch, chairs, ceiling fan, and fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave. Fire pit & access to gardens. Walking distance to restaurants, park with ocean bay beach and mountain hiking trails. Host provides drip coffee, to go cups and breakfast supplies.

You’ll love our home because it is very comfortable with beautiful gardens and many quiet sitting areas for early morning coffee or your late afternoon wine. Our place is very accommodating for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and for bird watchers.

Relax and enjoy this 1940's Bar Harbor coastal cottage, nicely updated with all the style and loveliness of the era. 5 minutes from Bar Harbor Village & Acadia National Park, Half Moon is central to most of Mount Desert Island and the park. We are the Black Friar Inn and Pub. This is room 2 on our 2nd floor. It has a private bath and the ceiling of the bathroom was once a trolley car’s ceiling. The stained glass windows give the room a rosy Medieval glow. With two comfortable chairs and a fireplace, this room has it all. We are a B&B so breakfast is included with your stay. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor.

Taunton River Bed and Breakfast, Franklin Room

Come stay in gracious comfort in the Franklin Room at a our charming 1845 traditional bed and breakfast, strategically located between Acadia National Park and Mt Desert. We offer a bedroom with a queen sized bed and optional single pullout with a shared bath directly next door. In addition, linens, bathrobes, hairdryers and toiletries are provided. Breakfasts are to your liking with most dietary needs accommodated.

The Island Queen Suite is part of our famous Lighthouse Wing, which is attached to the historic Main House. Cozy, peaceful B&B near Bar Harbor, ME and Acadia National Park. We are a half mile from Lamoine beach on a quiet country road. Our property has a pond and 6 acres with an array of wildlife. Local quaint shopping areas and restaurants in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor which is from 15-30 minutes from our B&B.
