First of - Kathy’s Kottage offers a uniquely private, warm and inviting detached cottage. We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We are proud of the Kottage as shown in every review over the last four years.

De Soto is located an easy 15-20 minute drive from the larger communities of Lawrence & Kansas City Metro. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is comfortably decorated with antiques and vintage pieces to help you reminisce of days gone by. Experience the nostalgia of small town Kansas in our friendly town.

Enjoy Southern OP in this quiet neighborhood. Our studio guesthouse has a full kitchen, TV, a new a/c/heater, and google fiber internet. In case you get lonely, we have 2 friendly dogs always looking for attention. We are about 45 minutes away from the Kansas City airport, Kauffman Stadium, Arrowhead Stadium, the KU main campus, and the Harry S Truman sports complex. We are 10-15 minutes from the Scheels soccer complex. Overland Park has plenty of Kansas barbecue and shopping.

Close to highwy, gas stations and shopping. We also have Solar panels that provide some back up for the heat/air and refrig if electricity goes out!!!

Note: The cabin is on a shared property with a retreat center, Sacred Hearts Healing.

Very close to beautiful Shawnee Mission Park. One exit from Lenexa City Center. We are about 10 minutes from the Kansas City Speedway and Children’s Mercy Park and 20 minutes from Downtown Kansas City.
