Cumberland River Greenway, which runs from Ted Rhodes Park to Downtown 2nd Ave., can be accessed via Morgan Park in Germantown, or Bicentennial Mall.

This is a nice paved greenway with an attached playground if you want to walk a little. The loop is less than 1 mile so perfect for families

The Mill Creek Greenway/Blueway entrance is just around the corner. The Greenway is paved for biking, walking, or running. The Blueway is for canoeing and paddlesports (Bring your own equipment).
