if you feel like a short 1.5 mile walk through the woods it is a nice place! the nature center itself has a lot to offer for families

Westwood Hills Nature Center is a 160-acre natural area featuring marsh, woods and restored prairie. Wood chipped, boardwalks and hard surface accessible trails are open from dawn to dusk year-round.

An oasis in St. Louis Park! An easy, nearly 2 mile walk around the lake, with a lot of fauna and various animals. Quiet, and peaceful. A good place to walk or run. No vehicles or bikes allowed.
