~20 minutes away. Beautiful spot but can get a little busier than McIntosh. 6 mile round trip hike running north and south parallel to the lake (western side).

While most people don't come to landlocked Colorado for its bodies of water, Carter lake is a good choice where you can rent a sailboat or take a kayak or stand-up paddleboard. There is also a swimming beach.

Great for boating, wave runners, outdoor activities like, running, biking, and walking trails around the lake. Right up the road from the cabin!
