East Nashville will give you more of a local feel. Not to many tourist in this area.
This is where Nashville quarantined its Hipsters. It's a fun area with a lot of great people and a laid back, creative neighborly feel. We usually ride our bikes there on the trail, but you can drive in 15 minutes. If it wasn't for the Cumberland River, it would be a walk.

Locals frequent the many dive bars, craft cocktail joints, coffee shops, and vintage stores sprinkled throughout the neighborhood.

This historical neighborhood offers great bikes lanes for cycling, very pedestrian, the greenbelt, Shelby Park Lake, tennis and basketball courts, great dining and bar scenes.
