Run by two passionate young owners, this brightly coloured restaurant takes its name from the loch where the business was originally located. Ingredients from the Scottish land and lochs underpin dishes that are carefully cooked, full of flavour and classically based with a subtle modernity.

This is our favourite special occasion restaurant in Oban. Amazing food and expert wine matching. A must visit for a special occasion, booking is an must though as they have limited tables available to give amazing service.

Etive offers a great experience of fine dining. They run a 'Land & Sea' tasting menu (meat and seafood) or a 'Land' menu (vegetarian). David runs the front of house and his knowledge on wines, champagnes and whiskys is second to none. The food has received rave reviews, having received two AA rosettes and were listed in the Michelin guide for 2022. Etive is the most expensive of my recommendations with the tasting menu coming in at £85per person and they can also pair wines for an additional fee should you wish to enjoy it even more. The restaurants website has more information - etiverestaurant.co.uk - and booking is required for a meal there. They are open Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm onwards.
