Perched on the banks of a tranquil lake in the Sabie River Valley is Shiloh Coffee Estate. This new establishment serves locally grown coffee, complimented by delicious home-baked cakes, waffles and quiches. Enjoy the abundant birdlife active around the lake including some unusual species, such as Pygmy Goose and Half-Collared Kingfisher. Occasionally elephants from the neighbouring sanctuary can be seen swimming in the lake. Homemade products, made from locally grown coffee, ginger and macadamia nuts, are on sale as is freshly ground coffee or roasted coffee beans. Shiloh Coffee Estate is open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Saturday and can be accessed from the Casa do Sol Hotel, off the R536 Sabie Road, 6km west of Hazyview. Tel: +27 (0) 79 290 9567

By far the best quiches and waffles in mpumalanga! They serve a buffet breakfast on Saturdays which is our family’s highlight for the week, to just rewind next to the dam having a real south african breakfast! Try be there at 09:00-for spaces get filled quickly!
