Trompeau is my favorite French Bakery, and during warmer months, my partner and I ride our cruiser bikes (1.9 miles) there every Saturday morning for raspberry and blueberry danishes, French baguette, and coffee. Hack: be sure to call ahead and place & pay for your order over the phone. They will leave it on the to-go rack for you, and you will have happily skipped the 15-person line!

If you catch the right day, you can hear the owner telling his kids in french to make more bread. It may not be the Champs-Élysées but the croissants are so good, it may make you double check.
