There is much more to do here than ski! This is one of our favorite places. The lodge was built by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp) in 1937 and has some of the most beautiful artisan architecture in the country. Every part of the lodge was handcrafted. There are two dining areas, the Cascade Dining Room and Ram's Head Bar and Restaurant. The Cascade Dining Room has a wonderful brunch on weekends. I highly recommend it! In the summer you can ride the ski lift to the highest part of the ski area and back down. There are two gift shops that are very nice. One in the main lodge and one in the ski lodge.

Great hikes within the area, or if you're here for the winter take up skiing, snowboarding, or sledding!

Ski in the winter or bike in the Summer. Timberline lodge is historic; built during the Great Depression with unique and beautiful craftsmanship. The views are spectacular. There is a bar as well as 2 dining areas. The Cascade Dining Room is a bit pricey but the food is very good and the views at sunset are amazing. Call for a reservation.

Historic mountain lodge with epic views both of Mt. Hood/Wy'East summit to the North and a sweeping panorama looking down the Cascades to the South. There's nothing quite like cozying up to their gargantuan stone fireplace and sipping an equally massive hot cocoa on a winters day — or sipping a cold local brew on their back deck after a long summer hike! The lodge was built by the WPA during the Great Depression and features incredible craftsmanship and many interesting historical displays. You may recognize the exterior from the horror flick The Shining — which they play for free by request in their own movie theater/game room. Check for COVID closures prior to visiting!

Timberline is a wonderful stop to hike, ski, snowboard, or mountain bike. The lodge is a beautiful historic building where you can have dinner or a breakfast buffet on the weekends. Call ahead of time to confirm the buffet hours. Fun fact: The movie "The Shining" was partly filmed at the Timberline Lodge.
