Pond is great for walking in nice weather and close enough to coffee shops/restaurants in Jamaica Plain to do both. You can rent boats from the Boat House in the summer months.

Beautiful place to stroll, jog or sit and relax. Around, mid-late October is the annual Lantern Parade around the pond; fun, evening social event for all ages!

Walk or run it (1.49 miles). Rent a boat. Sit by it. Picnic by it. Live concerts at the Boat House and at Pinebank Manor overlooking the Pond. A great bit of nature in the middle of the city.

Jamaica Pond is a great destination for those who love walking in scenic areas. It's also a great destination for picnics and/or finding a nice place to sit and watch the sunset.
