Fantastic little area of native bush amongst the suburbs of Wellington. Great bird life too. Probably easiest to get there by car although it is also on a bus route.
Beautiful bush, nice walks with options of an easy stroll to something more strenuous. Free and you can get there by bus
Really lovely walks through old native bush. Free entry. Walks from 30 minutes to an hour or two. Lots of native birds. The air in so nice in there, it's a special and invigorating place.
Day walks around Otari Bush Reserve. See some of Wellingtons oldest trees. 600yr old Rimu. Great park with BBQ's and picnic areas.
