Located at the end of the historic center, the Ligny Tower marks the splitting point between the two seas that bathe Trapani. It was erected in the 17th century as a coastal watchtower and today is considered the main symbol of the city. It has recently been converted into a Civic Museum and exhibits a series of historical and prehistoric artifacts found in the Trapani seabed. The tower is located in a restricted traffic area, an ideal destination for a walk along the fascinating Tramontana Walls. At the base there is a welcoming beach of sand and cliff.

It's not open all year, anyway, you have to go there to see the "end if Sicily's west side". If it's open you can climb the stairs and get a great view, not without getting some interesting background about Sicilian history.
