world famous gorge that drops 150ft from the cliff to sea level. A deeply shaded path winds down to the shore where there are over 150 plants and mosses to see.

Lovely way to spend some time in Shanklin walking down to the bottom of the Chine. Interesting museum and gift shop down at the bottom of the Chine together with a very good teashop for afternoon tea.

Outdoors so visit on a dry evening. The chine is lit up at night, it’s very peaceful and an enjoyable walk. Shankin is a picturesque village. We recommend the old thatch tearoom for a little treat. They have an outdoor fairy garden. There are lots of independent shops to browse.

A beautiful woodland chine that runs from the old village down to the beach. In the evening it is lit up. The village itself is very pretty with thatched tea rooms and pubs.
