War memorial to built to honour the men and women of Victoria who served in World War I
Shrine of Remembrance is a war memorial in Melbourne and has free museum. Not very well know among people but the view of the city from this spot is the best you can get.
One of the most iconic places in Melbourne that offers a place of remeberance for the ANZAC soldiers. Great view of the city from the top as well as a informative museum in the basement.

It incorporates major cultural institutions such as the Ian Potter Centre, Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) and the Koorie Heritage Trust as well as cafes and bars in a series of buildings centred around a large paved square, and a glass walled atrium.”
